Common questions
How much does a circumcision cost?
Our guide price is R1,500. You'll get a confirmed quote at your consultation before anything is booked. Ask us whether your medical aid or insurance plan contributes.
Is circumcision painful?
The area is numbed with local anaesthetic, so you should feel pressure rather than pain during the procedure. Some discomfort afterwards is normal and we give you pain relief and instructions to manage it.
How long is recovery?
Most people go home the same day and can do light activities within a few days. Full healing takes a few weeks. We'll give you specific instructions on wound care, activity and when to come back.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. A consultation lets us check that circumcision is safe and appropriate for you, and lets you ask questions before you decide.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Your consultation and procedure are private and handled respectfully.
