A consultation is the time a healthcare provider takes with you. It includes:
- Listening carefully to your problem
- Assessing symptoms and medical history
- Examining you where needed
- Making a diagnosis (or working diagnosis)
- Offering a treatment plan (and safety-net advice)
- Planning follow-up or referrals if needed
Limited medication: Where indicated, limited medication may be provided during the consultation (subject to clinical judgement and stock).

Fees may vary where extended time or additional services are required. We’ll explain upfront when this applies.
