How much is a consultation?
Consultations are R500 or R600 depending on the provider, and include limited medication where appropriate. We charge scheme rates for most medical aids.
Can I get a sick note on the weekend?
Yes, after a consultation, if clinically appropriate.
When should I go to an emergency unit instead?
Severe chest pain, severe shortness of breath, stroke symptoms, collapse, seizures or uncontrolled bleeding need an emergency unit. Call emergency services or go to the nearest hospital.
